Alphabet Playhouse Field Trip

Date: September 25, 2018
Venue: Wigglepods

With the aid of a variety of instruments and props, the Kindergarten children from Alphabet Playhouse lent us a big helping hand in making the story of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” come to live with some music and movement. The children made use of various instruments (both pitched and unpitched) and props, such as the elastic band and scarves to share about how the very hungry caterpillar literally eats his way through the pages of the book and right into the children’s heart.

The whole experience was so meaningful and the story felt so magical with the children using music and movement to represent the different content shared in the development of the story. Despite the limited time spent, we were all so satisfied with the outcome of how the story turned out.
